Please read: You will require either a direct COM port or a PCMCIA>COM port adapter - USB>COM adapters on the whole do not work due to poor driver emulation of a true COM port. We do have the PCMCIA cards available in our eBay shop and should you wish to purchase with this scanner please contact us to arrange a discount. This tool, as with any computer based tool does require some knowledge of computers and software/hardware setup so we would advise you to contact us prior to purchase if this may be an issue. This tool also requires Windows XP 32bit or earlier - it does not work on Vista or Windows 7 or on any 64bit operating systems. The codes that this tool shows are shown in hexadecimal and will require converting into decimal and then referencing in a Bentley BMW manual or similar - we cannot help with the definitions of codes.
