OPS OBD2 diagnostic hardware kit for BMW & MINI incl. DIS & SSS Review
OPS OBD2 diagnostic hardware kit for BMW & MINI incl. DIS & SSS Feature
- OBD2 diagnosis, programming, Canbus
OPS diagnostic hardware kit for BMW DIS SSS & For motor vehicles after E65 BMW used for the first time fiber-optic cables as standard for communication between control units.
The optical data buses are known for their high data transmission rate and they are not susceptible to electromagnetic interference. The optical buses in question are the MOST bus, which is used mainly for consumer electronics in the car, and the Byteflight bus, which is specifically responsible for safety standards.
OPS was to code, identifying and programming (CIP) via the Software Service Station (SSS) was developed, and we saw before, use it as part of the BMW diagnostic system (DIS) from DISPlus and Group Tester to One (GT1).
It is also intended for testing and programming tasks of the E65 series, and takes the place of the diagnostic head.
OPS was developed for rapid programming of control units. If you use it at the SSS, no diagnostic or technical measurements are possible, as no measuring technology is involved, therefore OPPS / OPS is mainly used to program the control units (flashing).
Communication with the vehicle to both via the MOST and via the OBD interface take place. The OBD interface is required to the OPPS / OPS to supply energy, and it has communication properties via which the vehicle can be identified, including the data to be programmed can be determined. From CIP version 7.0 on, it is possible to delete fault code memories via OPPS / OPS.
